The classic weekend in South Tyrol starts today with the Super-G in Val Gardena. The start is at 11:45 am Ticker LIVE >>>
Saslong has been primarily the playing field of the Norwegians in recent years – in the last ten years there have been seven Super G victories for “Elche”.
The “defending champion”, however, is an Austrian: in 2019 Vincent Kriechmayr celebrated one of his two victories of the season at the Saslong. He also has fond memories of Max Franz, who celebrated his first victory at Val Gardena in 2016 (downhill). In 2017, he took the podium in second place in the Super-G.
The race will be opened by local hero Dominik Paris. Max Franz has number 4, Matthias Mayer 5. From 8 to 10 an Austrian package arrives with Hannes Reichelt, Vincent Kriechmayr and Christian Walder. Start list >>>
