Stefan Kraft will not participate in the individual ski flight world championship competition in Planica on short notice. The 27-year-old, who has just recovered from a Covid 19 infection, is unable to start due to acute back problems.

The ÖSV quartet is made up of Philipp Aschenwald, Michael Hayböck, Timon Kahofer and Gregor Schlierenzauer. A return of strength in the team competition on Sunday is, according to the ÖSV, at least not ruled out.

Upon his return to the hill, Kraft had shone with a 239-meter jump on the first training jump. The outright World Cup winner from the previous season was already battling back pain in preparation for the World Cup winter.
