Ski flight

The Austrian team for the weekend’s ski flying world championships in Planica could include Stefan Kraft, Michael Hayböck, Gregor Schlierenzauer and Philipp Aschenwald. The PCR tests performed on the athletes on Monday and Tuesday were negative.

Head coach Andreas Widhölzl, who was also infected with the corona virus, does not want to nominate the World Cup team until Wednesday, and Kraft and Hayböck should do strength training beforehand.

The Planica team will be a last minute decision, because training and qualifying are scheduled for Thursday at the ski jump in Slovenia. Schlierenzauer and Aschenwald had already tested negative on Monday, their participation is considered highly probable.

No start of Huber and Co.

The jumpers around Daniel Huber who only tested positive at the World Cup in Russia at the weekend have no chance to compete. After a return campaign, they are quarantined at home. Kraft and Co. had already tested positive after the Wisla World Cup (21/22 November).
