For the Hochkar mountain railways, the free ski day in mid-October was a welcome and successful trial for the upcoming ski winter.
Safe skiing fun possible without any hassle
“Today’s ski day has shown that despite the current framework conditions, nothing stands in the way of a safe skiing winter,” says Rainer Rohrgger, Managing Director of Hochkar Bergbahnen. The joy of the winter sports enthusiasts for the first turns in the snow was palpable, all the guests were very disciplined. “For us it was a dress rehearsal for the upcoming winter season and it clearly showed that safe skiing fun is possible without any problems.”
Disciplined and happy guests
The mask requirement and keeping your distance in no way spoiled the pleasure of skiing. All the snow-hungry guests at Hochkar adhered to official safety regulations in a disciplined manner and enjoyed an extraordinary day of skiing in mid-October. The Almlift was open and the associated slopes were perfectly groomed. Due to high interest, the number of tickets was limited the day before, 500 winter sports enthusiasts were able to enjoy hours in nature today and get off the slopes for free.
