With 8 million in Sunday’s “Lotto 6 of 45” drawing, the highest win of the year was waiting for a single six.
The millions of gifts under the Christmas tree that many lottery players were waiting for did not materialize, the fivefold jackpot did not crack on Wednesday (23.12.) In Sunday’s draw, there were around 8 million euros in the prize pool, a record in this unfortunate year 2020.

First a solo after the six times jackpot
Only one of the five previous six-option jackpots has so far finished with six solo: the one in April this year, which brought to Lower Austria 7.7 million euros. A Styrian and an Austrian shared the top jackpot six times, which was played exactly on Christmas Eve 2017. There were two winners, both from Vienna, in September 2018.
The third six-way jackpot became the seven-way jackpot (so far only) in November 2018. And there were once three winners of a six-time jackpot with a Burgenland, a Salzburg and a Styrian.
