Salaries at private, mostly nonprofit, social and health companies will increase by 2.08 percent as of January 1, 2021. This increase was basically agreed in the spring as part of a three-year agreement. At that time, an increase was determined for the 125,000 employees in the private welfare, health and social sector for 2021 at the level of the inflation rate plus 0.6 percentage points.
Adjustments apply as of January 1
Once the relevant inflation values were available, this was now set between Social Economy Austria (SWÖ) as representative of the employers and the GPA and life unions. In addition, it was agreed that the equality of manual workers with employees applies to notice periods starting on January 1.
