Tyrolean / Viennese startup topdestination.tv wants to offer an automated solution and therefore particularly easy to use. Created in 2017 as a joint venture between several regional television stations, it sees itself as a “full broadcast service provider.”
The startup is focused on providing the technology to deliver automated TV, sports, music or hotel information displays, including automated AI-controlled cameras. With the “Broadcasting Suite” from topdestination.tv, you can offer your individual video website, including advertising and pay-per-view options, as well as operate all screens, from the sports hall to the guest television.
topdestination.tv: From the tourist region …
This has already been implemented with clients from a wide variety of areas, including Olympiaregion Seefeld, the tourism associations Ischgl, St. Anton am Arlberg, AMS Tirol and Morawa. Recently, topdestination.tv attracted attention with a broadcast in cooperation with Schönbrunn Palace on the eve of the national holiday.
In the Seefeld region, Plateau TV has been implementing a personalized regional television offering since the summer of 2020. “The tourism association designs its own television that can be played by tourism companies. This is an ad-free hotel television channel that is always up-to-date and is shown on television in the room, apartment, reception, wellness area, elevator, bar or wherever, “says the startup. Each company that is part of plateau.tv can expand your hotel TV so you can, but you don’t have to import your own data and information. The content management system can be used to enter and manage your own content, such as special offers, menu or information about your own home.

That’s just one example – the same is offered in multiple regions. “With Broadcasting Suite, between 10,000 and 35,000 existing screens per region become points of sale. And in 2021 the regions of Carinthia, Salzburg and Styria will follow, ”says topdestination.tv. At the same time, Broadcasting Suite is also used in completely different areas. With morawa.tv, for example, author reading streams and the “European Job Days” are implemented with AMS Tirol. And the “Regionalliga Tirol LIVE” in cooperation with the Tyrolean Football Federation speaks for itself.
“The moment we are living in now is also one in which we see how important digitization is and it is becoming more and more important. I’m not talking about changing the conference room on Skype or Zoom, but about opening up digital value chains. It has been shown, for example, that smaller football clubs can use live streaming and pay-per-view to significantly increase their viewers and revenue. And that also applies to all other areas, ”says topdestination.tv CEO Hannes Rangger.
