He had been battling a disease for some time. Rasinger was president of the Investors Association (IVA) that he founded in 1999, and in this role he campaigned for the rights of small shareholders in publicly traded companies for several decades, and was protected and recognized.
In addition to his position as chairman of IVA, Rasinger has been active on various national company supervisory boards over the years, including S Immo and Agrana. According to Wirtschafts-Compass, he was recently on the Erste Group’s supervisory board. He also taught at the Krems University of Applied Sciences and held an honorary chair of business administration at the Vienna University of Technology.
