There was a serious traffic accident on Manker Straße (B29) in Oberndorf an der Melk on Sunday afternoon. Two cars collided head-on for unknown reasons. While one car was completely demolished on the street, the other was thrown into the adjacent meadow.
Seriously injured driver
The two drivers, who were traveling alone in their vehicles, were quickly freed from the wreckage by firefighters and the rescue team, but one patient had to be taken to hospital with the Christopherus 15 helicopter with serious injuries.
The second patient suffered injuries of indeterminate degree. The rescue team took him to the hospital with the ambulance. During the operation, the B29 was closed to traffic in both directions and could only be reopened after cleaning work.
