Accident on B311 causes traffic delays at rush hour

There has been a car accident with two injuries this morning at the Mauthtunnel in Goldegg on the B311 in Pongau. This caused delays in rush hour traffic.
In the toll tunnel, a Pongauer (42) entered the opposite lane with his vehicle for an inexplicable cause and collided with the tunnel wall. The car was then thrown backwards and collided with the approaching car of a 36-year-old driver from Kleinarl, Salzburg police said in the morning. The Red Cross took the injured drivers to the Kardinal-Schwarzenberg-Klinikum in Schwarzach (Pongau).
Serious accident in the toll tunnel
According to police, both vehicles were total losses. During cleanup work by the Schwarzach and St. Veit volunteer fire departments, the area was closed for approximately two hours. Both vehicles were totaled, police said.
