In the generally calm transfer time, the SK Rapid was again doing really well in the final hours.
Thomas Murg’s move to PAOK Saloniki shortly before the transfer was closed caused a blast, but Styrian, 25, explained his motives in an exclusive LAOLA1 interview. As a replacement, Marcel Ritzmaier was only on loan from Barnsley FC for one year.
Sports director Zoran Barisic breathes a sigh of relief at the “Krone” that it is finally over: “I used two batteries a day, my cell phone was full. It was amazing what kind of players exchanged and what coaches came. That’s why I’m relieved it’s finally over. “
Barisic is not entirely satisfied with the transfer time performance and criticizes himself: “I wanted to fulfill all the wishes of the coach, expand our squad. I failed there. But there was nothing more useful on the market.
An offer for Rieds U21 team player Marco Grüll was ultimately not good enough, but Rapid’s hands were financially tied. Even the Hütteldorfer were not satisfied with the offers by Dejan Ljubicic, Taxiarchis Fountas, Mateo Barac and Leo Greiml and rejected them. “Zoki” only moved to PAOK because the general conditions were right.
Ritzmaier is very experienced at the age of 27 and should help right away. He has to, after all, he’s only been on loan for a year – Rapid deviated from his own philosophy, but according to Barisic it couldn’t be different. A call option should not yet be from Tirsch. Dejan Ljubicic will soon receive a new contract.
