For a few days it has been known that there will be a second coronavirus test street in Vienna. Now it’s also clear where and when: according to the free newspaper today the facility is currently being installed on the Danube island. A spokesman for Health Councilor Peter Hacker (SPÖ) confirmed the report to the APA. The inauguration is announced for tomorrow Thursday.
The location of the second drive-in is on the Danube Island by Floridsdorfer Brücke, the city council spokesman said. No more details will be available until the official opening, such as how high the capacities will be or who can be tested there.
First road test since mid-August
Vienna’s first Corona test road on the Ernst Happel Stadium esplanade has been in operation since mid-August. The original purpose was to test those who returned from vacation.
People with symptoms can now go through there. The rush is great and there are reports of wait times for hours.
