So far, it is only planned to switch to distance education for high school and college students. The lower classes must be kept open, Kurz announced Saturday afternoon. too Kindergartens must remain open. The government information packet shows that there are plans to extend the mask requirement for students aged 10-14. Expansion plans are not being carried out more specifically.
At the press conference, however, it became clear that keeping schools open is not guaranteed in the long term. The Chancellor indicated relatively vaguely that one also in the school sector “monitor the situation” and possibly reevaluate it, depending on how the number of cases develops over the next few weeks.
