After a long period of time, the Second Division FAC found last summer a coach with whom the desired success was achieved. And it should have gone again. Bundesliga club Ried agrees with Miron Muslic, according to information from KURIER, but the 38-year-old still has a contract at Vienna-Floridsdorf until the summer.
Under Muslic, the FAC is not in the middle of the relegation battle for the first time in a long time. The Floridsdorfer are in ninth place in the 2nd league, they scored 17 points in 13 games.
The native Bosnian, who grew up in Tyrol, was already a player at Ried, and in the 2007/08 season the former striker was hired at Innviertel. Since 2015, Muslic has also been a coach at Ried, in various roles at the academy and on the second team, and even managed the combat team on an interim basis for a game.
In the coaching course
In the summer he was drawn into the 2nd division of the FAC, and should return to Ried earlier than planned. Muslic is part of the current highest coaching training course, the UEFA Pro diploma, which allows him to coach teams in the top league.
The Rieder had only parted ways with coach Gerald Baumgartner one lap before winter break. In the last match (3-1 at WSG Tirol), assistant Gerhard Schweitzer led.
