Richard Lugner Still Has a Chance at the Opera Box

Richard Lugner still has a chance to get a box at Opera Ball 2021. As the Vienna State Opera confirmed to APA, the master builder has already registered as a sponsor of the house, and therefore fulfilled the requirement to have a box under the new director Bogdan Roscic get.

Since the opera dance is fully booked each year, the State Opera wants to give preference to visitors who are associated with the house, even during the year. These include donors, for example, who donate at least € 30,000 to the opera each year. Lugner has also been part of this group since last week.

In order to express his attachment to the opera itself, Lugner also purchased tickets for the “Carmen” and “Lady Butterfly” performances in the upcoming season. “My last opera was ‘The Magic Flute’ in 1998,” said the master builder.

For the upcoming opera dance, the builder says he has a “big guest” on his fishing pole. So far, however, there has only been one vague promise. “There is still a long time before the opera dance,” Lugner said.
