Red catfish and ten orange districts: Upper Austria presents guest lists

[ad_1]

The crisis of the crown determined last Thursday night in Vienna and Linz. In the federal capital, the Corona traffic light commission held its meeting and colored Upper Austria strongly orange and partially red. In the state capital, Governor Thomas Stelzer and Representative Christine Haberlander (both vice presidents) advised medical experts on the situation and the stricter crown measures. .

As of yesterday, only two districts of Upper Austria are green at the Corona traffic lights: Kirchdorf and Eferding. The city of Wels turned red, which means a very high risk. The same was discussed in the Rohrbach district, but ultimately held up in Orange (high risk). Grieskirchen, Ried, Schärding, Wels-Land went from yellow to orange and Steyr-Stadt from green to orange. As before, Linz-Stadt, Linz-Land, Gmunden and Vöcklabruck are also orange. Perg and Steyr-Land changed from green to yellow. The Braunau, Freistadt, Urfahr area remains yellow.

Talk OÖN-TV: What does a red traffic light mean?

What does a red light mean? The Corona Commission is calling for the highest warning level for the first time. Daniela Dahlke talks to OÖN’s head of domestic policy, Wolfgang Braun, about the consequences if a district suddenly turns red.

The change of traffic lights by the expert commission does not automatically lead to stricter crown measures. They are political decisions at all levels. The state of Upper Austria will today announce measures that were also the subject of last night. Two measures are reportedly in place: Guest registration will be introduced in the restaurant industry. And the level of protection is increased in nursing homes and for the elderly. Therefore, visits to nursing homes are restricted or carried out through more controlled channels.

The guest registry should help with the management of the contact person for the authorities. Yesterday it was still open if only one person per table had to register or all. There are several monitoring options in nursing homes, such as separate visiting rooms, strict pre-registration, or fever measurements at the entrance. Details should follow today. The tightening will take effect in the next few days. Stelzer and Haberlander also see that the federal government must advise on any necessary measures due to the increasing number of infections in Austria, he said.

Both nationally (1552) and Upper Austria (236), yesterday recorded record values for new cases of corona in 24 hours. In Upper Austria’s black-blue coalition there is disagreement over guest registration.

Haimbuchner: “Shareholder”

The leader of the regional FP party, Manfred Haimbuchner, strictly rejects them: “The FPÖ Upper Austria is not willing to comply with the shareholder demands of the Federal Chancellery to toughen the crown measures launched in hindquarters.” The effort for companies is high, the misuse of guest data opens the door.

Haberlander: “Guest registration is the most forgiving means. We want to avoid curfew or having to close restaurants.” You don’t understand how this can be widely rejected.

Is this a burden on the coalition? “Not even minimally,” Haimbuchner says: “I just have a different opinion on it. He said this “amicably personally”. Haberlander calls it “one of the strengths of the coalition that we are discussing in a comprehensive and differentiated way.” The FPÖ never tires of arguing that it does not agree with some measures.
