FC Red Bull Salzburg has extended Junior Chukwubuike Adamu’s contract early and long-term until May 31, 2025. Junior Adamu arrived in Salzburg in 2015, where he raced through all of the Red Bulls academy youth teams outside of the U15. During this time he won three championship titles with the academy (U16: 2016/17 and 2017/18; U18: 2018/19). The 19-year-old junior team player has already played 39 games for FC Liefering, scoring 21 goals and seven assists.
Sports director Christoph Freund explains: “Junior is a young, ambitious and always positive boy who has developed very well with us in Salzburg over the last few years. It has many facilities that are perfectly adapted to our type of football, and we are convinced that there is much more to it, which is why we have tied it to ourselves in the long term.
Junior Adamu comments on this new situation: “The current season has already started very well for me when I joined the FC Red Bull Salzburg team. Now I can expect a contract extension. That’s great and it gives me even more motivation to work hard on myself and achieve my goals, because I want to contribute many goals to ensure that the club continues to be successful. “
