The wind blows strong to stormy in the mountains and at higher altitudes, sometimes strong in the east, otherwise weak to moderate in the lowlands from southern directions. The wind blows moderate to strong, on the foehn lines and in the Danube region also stormy and in the mountains sometimes as hurricanes from east to south. The temperatures are still very mild: in the morning between minus three degrees in East Tyrol and around six degrees in the foothills of the Alps, and between two and eleven degrees during the day, depending on the rainfall and the foehn.
