Corona Rapid Tests for Employees are offered throughout Lower Austria from Friday. The Chamber of Labor and Economic Chamber service, which was initially launched as a pilot project in the Mödling district in early October, has now been rolled out across the country.

Mobile teams and new coronavirus test streets are being deployed in Pottschach (Neunkirchen district) and Ybbs ad Donau (Melk district).

Corona rapid tests for Lower Austrian employees

S “We create the best possible security and predictability for employees and companies,” emphasized Presidents Markus Wieser (AKNÖ) and Wolfgang Ecker (WKNÖ). The new test lanes are located in the Pottschacher Kulturhaus and in a former supermarket branch in Ybbs on the Danube. In addition, mobile teams test directly in-house. A total of five million euros are earmarked for investments in the initiative.

Pop-up test lanes are also possible

In addition to the two stationary test roads, pop-up versions are also possible, according to social partners. Companies in a region, especially companies with fewer than 100 employees, could join forces and establish a joint test path. This will then be temporarily set up in a suitable company.

Test results are available in 15 minutes

The central processing of the exams is done online. Test results are generally available within 15 minutes. Suspicious cases should be clarified by additional PCR testing. The operational implementation is carried out by the Mödling Occupational and Social Medical Center (AMZ), which works regionally with partner institutions.

Corona pilot project in Mödling: 2,900 people tested

As part of the pilot project in the Mödling district, 2,900 people from 310 companies were tested in October, according to a broadcast. The project is constantly being evaluated and additional test roads are also possible. “The testing contingent should benefit as many employees and companies as possible,” Ecker and Wieser were quoted as saying.
