Will continue next week
Six different winners in seven races: The MotoGP season also showed on Misano’s second weekend just how unpredictable it is. The first 4 of the World Cup are only separated by four points, and behind them the pursuers are also very close. Since it’s only half the season and there are still seven races to go, anything can still happen. And even in small classes, the gaps are extremely narrow …
We don’t have to wait long to see how the situation develops. Because next week the Catalan Grand Prix will continue in Barcelona. For today we close our ticker and say goodbye with new racing images. Have fun clicking!

MotoE update: collision has consequences
Because Tommaso Marcon cleared Dominique Aegerter in the early stages of the MotoE race, the Tech 3 rider receives a penalty on the grid. He will be moved back three places on the grid for the next race.
MotoGP: this is how Miller collapsed
The race started off promisingly for Jack Miller, but after a mistake he dropped to fifth place over the course of the second and was trapped behind Fabio Quartararo. He then apparently picked up a detachable visor from him that got caught in the Ducati and caused a drop in performance. What a bad luck…
Miller gives proof of this on his Instagram account.
MotoGP: at Gedenken an Shoya Tomizawa
At the 2010 San Marino Grand Prix, Shoya Tomizawa lost his life in a racing accident. Takaaki Nakagami remembers her deceased compatriot by parking at the crash site after the race and pausing for a moment. A nice gesture!

MotoGP: This scene cost Quartararo P3
At Turn 16, Fabio Quartararo took it too far a few laps before the end. The pictures show it clearly. Because it was a repeated violation of the track boundaries, the penalty followed shortly after … Otherwise the Frenchman would have been on the podium.
MotoGP: The World Championship is crazy
Although Andrea Dovizioso did not pass eighth in the race, he maintained the lead in the general classification. However, he is only one point ahead of Fabio Quartararo (2nd) and Maverick Vinales (3rd). Joan Mir is only four points down in fourth place.
In the last four races, the Suzuki rider was able to secure the most points in comparison, namely 69. Dovizioso accumulated 53 points, Miller 44 points in the same period. Viñales and Oliveira earned 41 points.
Maverick Vinales: “We found a better race setup”
Maverick Vinales (Yamaha; 1.): “Unbelievable! We prepared really well for the race this time. But ‘Pecco’ was very fast. I got close to him and then he fell. We found a slightly better set-up. That makes me happy. Many thanks to everyone who support me from home. Now we have to continue like this. We have the potential. “
Joan Mir: “I gave it my all”
Joan Mir (Suzuki; 2.): “I am very exhausted. It was a long race, but with a good result. Overtaking was not easy. But when I realized that the podium was within my reach, I gave it my all. I think we deserve this result.”
Pol Espargaró: “Tire was completely exhausted”
Pol Espargaró (KTM; 3.): “With the medium tire, the feel of the rear wheel was not that good. So we opted for the soft tire. At the end I was completely exhausted and I just tried to defend my position somehow. Lucky today because Fabio was punished.”
MotoGP: the other placements
In fifth place, Miguel Oliveira underlines the good result of KTM at Misano 2. And also at Honda, the shape curve finally points upwards, because Takaaki Nakagami and Alex Márquez finish the race in sixth and seventh place. For the MotoGP rookie it is the best result of the season so far.
Andrea Dovizioso, Franco Morbidelli and Danilo Petrucci round out the top 10. Johann Zarco, Alex Rins and Bradley Smith also score some points, because only 13 drivers made it to the finish.
MotoGP: First win of the season for Maverick Vinales!
Victory can no longer be taken away from Maverick Vinales. This means that MotoGP has its sixth different winner in race seven! Joan Mir once again shows a strong comeback and is second.
Fabio Quartararo crosses the finish line in third place, but loses place. For not receiving the long lap penalty, he receives a three-second penalty and falls behind Pol Espargaró, who inherits P3. There are three manufacturers on the podium: Yamaha, Suzuki and KTM.
MotoGP: Penalty for long lap
With the start of the last lap, the direction of the race imposes a penalty for a long lap on Quartararo. Therefore, it is clear that he will lose third place …
