The Swiss authorities have quarantined almost 1,400 people. They visited the three clubs in the city of Bern. A person there had previously tested positive for the corona virus. The Cantonal Medical Clinic has closed a bar with immediate effect.
As the Canton of Bern Directorate for Health, Social and Integration (GSI) wrote on its website on Friday evening, a total of 1,394 people must be in quarantine. Last weekend he visited one of the Bern clubs, Taxiclub, Cuba Bar Bern and Kapitel-Bollwerk.
Bar Cuba is affected by the immediate closure. All 1,009 people who traveled there since midnight Sunday had to be quarantined due to an incorrect and therefore “unusable” guest list, as specified by GSI spokesperson Gundekar Giebel when asked by the Keystone News Agency. -SDA.
The guest lists for the other two clubs were impeccable, the spokesperson further emphasized. The first experiences showed that the operators are aware that a correct guest list is “the key to keeping the establishments open” for them.
In the taxi club, 288 visitors are affected by the quarantine since midnight and 97 people at the Kapitel-Bastwerk. According to Giebel, the latter only affects people who were there on Sunday morning from 6 am,
The Cantonal Medical Office also asks all people who have been to one or more of the bars during the relevant periods to pay close attention to their state of health.
