After the 2: 6 bankruptcy against Red Bull Salzburg, the management of Taxiarchis Fountas again caused excitement and discomfort in Rapid Vienna with an Instagram post. He praised the performance of Hütteldorfer’s Greek forward. He “fought defeat, but his Rapid Vienna team wasn’t enough,” management wrote in a post.
Fountas management is causing trouble again
Below this post, a Rapid supporter wrote: “No more team player, good taxi … Too much nonsense in the head thanks to his excellent management.” The Greek’s leadership reacted angrily and wrote below that Fountas would change anyway. “Then they can mess with other football experts.” Unprofessional abuse also continued. These comments have now been removed.
A situation that neither Rapid nor Taxiarchis Fountas deepen. And it wasn’t the first questionable action by Fountas management. This had already been offered by the Greek striker through Instagram in the summer. In one post, the Atalanta Bergamo, Sampdoria Genua and Glasgow Rangers logos were marked with a question mark (“This is absolutely unprofessional” – Rapid’s sporting director Zoran Barisic is pissed off!).
Sky Sport Austria spoke to Rapid’s sporting director about the incident before the game in Admira. Zoran Barisic succinctly replied that such actions would not help the particular player.
