British Prince Harry congratulated Thomas, the little locomotive (“Thomas the Tank Engine”), on his 75th birthday. The friendly and helpful steam locomotive is the main character in a short story series and a children’s television series. In 1945, the British railroad pastor and fanatic Wilbert Awdry wrote the first volume of the popular Railroad Series.
On the occasion of the birthday, a new 22-minute episode is shown, in which Harry’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, and her father Charles can also be seen as cartoon characters. Harry (35) sits in a chair during his brief congratulatory appearance and holds a book on the steam engine in his hands. “Thomas the locomotive has been an encouraging and familiar face to so many families in the past 75 years,” said Harry. He also has fond memories of it.
Harry’s appearance was already recorded in January, before he and Duchess Meghan (38) announced their release from the royal family. The new episode will air on Netflix this Friday in the US. USA And on Channel 5 Milkshake in the UK on Saturday.
