In the 58th minute, Solskjaer’s team brought Aston Villa back into play: the Red Devils defense fell asleep after a free kick from midfield. Guests executed fast, the once-prominent Grealish crossed to center and Traore scored with his third goal in the last four games to equalize.
Just three minutes later, United went through a penalty kick, Pogba had been brought down, again led by Fernandes. United were undefeated for the tenth time in a row and are now at the top of the table with Liverpool.
Everton FC misses West Ham
Everton, who recently had four consecutive victories, fought against. In the first half, Carlo Ancelotti’s team did not fire a single shot on goal. Even after the break, Everton didn’t get dangerously close to the opposing goal.
West Ham scored in the final phase of the match for the well-deserved 1-0: After a first stop by Pickford of former Dortmund Yarmolenko, Cresswell tried from the second row. Pickford was there again, but Soucek dusted himself off from close range (86th).
The good news for Everton: The recently injured James Rodríguez celebrated his comeback in the 64th minute. He had missed the last four league games and the League Cup quarter-finals against Manchester United (0-2).
