Positive corona test! Hamilton misses Bahrain races

Munich – World champion Lewis Hamilton will miss the upcoming Bahrain Grand Prix in Sachir after the Briton tested positive for the corona virus.

According to his Mercedes racing team, Hamilton woke up with mild symptoms Monday morning and was informed that a contact person had tested positive. Two tests carried out were positive.

Vandoorne or Gutierrez as alternate candidates

A Hamilton representative for the race has yet to be determined. The racing team wanted to announce this as soon as possible.

The two reserve drivers, Stoffel Vandoorne and Esteban Gutiérrez, are candidates. Vandoorne is still currently in test drives in Spain with Formula E (live on SAT.1 from January and on live stream on ran.de).
