A survey of 1,000 Austrians on crown masks and applications shows: The negative attitude towards crown protection measures is particularly pronounced in Austria. However, the survey was conducted in early September.
The Corona app is having a particularly difficult time in Austria. In no other of the 13 countries surveyed do so many people reject a tracking app. And this despite the fact that the Red Cross and the Ministry of Health indicated on several occasions that the application should be installed.
63 percent say “No” to the “Stop Corona App”. The European average is 37 percent and the lowest rejection is in Spain (17 percent).
Austrians are not fans of mouth and nose protection
The MNS is hardly better accepted. According to their own statements, only 69 percent, about two-thirds, use mouth and nose protection in Austria. The European average is 79 percent.
Protection for the mouth and nose is used most diligently in Luxembourg, where more than 90 per cent wear a protective mask. However, Austria is not at the bottom of Europe when it comes to SMN: in the Netherlands only one in five wears a mask, in the Czech Republic, which was once a pioneer in oral and nasal protection, not even is half.
