The Central Institute of Meteorology and Geodynamics (ZAMG) forecasts a growing influence of high pressure as of Tuesday after the rain has subsided.
During the morning hours they are in Monday still numerous clouds of a cold front retreating over Austria. These also bring some rain, especially in the Alpine area and in the south and southwest. The sun appears at most in the middle. However, until about noon, the rain largely subsides, the clouds subside, and the sunny sections are more frequent. The prevailing wind direction is from northwest to north. The wind blows from weak to moderate. The first temperatures oscillate between ten and 17 degrees, the daily maximum between 16 and 23 degrees.
A.M Tuesday the high air pressure in the eastern Alps ensures a sunny and bright climate. Only in the basins and valleys of the interior Alps can fog persist well into the morning. These are particularly difficult in the Mur and Marz valleys and in the Klagenfurt basin. Generally a weak wind blows. In the morning it is six to 14 degrees, after that the ZAMG expects the day to warm to 19 to 25 degrees, the warmest in the west.
A.M Wednesday the stable high pressure climate continues and brings bright sunshine across the board. In the alpine interior, in the southern basin and in the foothills of the Upper Austrian Alps, some fog fields may initially exist. The wind generally only blows weakly. At the beginning of the day, temperatures range from six to 13 degrees, then 20 to 27 degrees are possible.
A.M Thursday At first the sun seems to be very widespread, but in the alpine interior and in the south the day begins again with fog in some places. However, in the morning, with a weak stress zone from the northwest, the cloud fields are coming and in the afternoon it is possible that some rains in the north and east, in the mountains on the south side of the Alps, even thunderstorms are possible. There is moderate wind from west to northwest, only in the south there is little wind. The first temperatures are from ten to 16 degrees, the maximums are reached with 22 to 27 degrees.
A.M Friday At the moment, there are residual clouds, as well as fog and fields of high fog. During the day, however, the sunlight generally prevails again. In the afternoon there are some cumulus clouds, especially over the mountains, but rain storms are only possible in isolated cases in the western mountains. The wind blows from weak to moderate from east to south. The day should start from nine to 14 degrees, after which the thermometer rises to 23 to 27 degrees.
