Penzing Vienna 2020 election results: this is how the 14th district voted

PENISHING. 93,934 people live in Penzing. That is 4.9 percent of the Viennese population. The 14th district is more diverse than almost any other district in Vienna: from the city center on the border with the 15th district to the Vienna forests and the border with Lower Austria. Penzing’s population is growing. In recent years, the district has become a popular residential area for families. On a political level, the SPÖ has been the party with the highest number of votes in the district since the end of the Second World War.

The Vienna Election Service has set a new record for the number of voting cards issued. A total of 382,214 voting cards were issued for the 2020 Vienna city council and district elections. 21,654 voting cards were issued in Penzing.

Penzing District Council Election Results

SPÖ Penzing, which provides the district chief, received 35.23 percent of the vote in 2015. At that time, the Reds had to accept 4.72 percent less. For five years, the FPÖ has been the second strongest force in the district with 27.24 percent and a gain of exactly five percent. You can read all the results of the previous elections here. After the district council elections in 2015, the districts of Penzings were mostly red, but also blue.
