Paul Gartler 7
The Rapid Keeper didn’t have much to do, but it was there when they needed it. He was able to avoid a goal with a perfect reflection on the line and was otherwise largely calm and confident. However, his performance takes a back seat due to the great play of his counterpart Patrick Pentz.
Filip Stojkovic 5
The Montenegrin showed a decent performance tactically and in terms of his positional play and had to fight with great intensity over and over again. The right-back, who moved inward in setup rather than up the wing, played 80 passes and remained fairly accurate overall. However, in the end very little of what could be counted offensively was looked out.
Maximilian Hofmann 5
For the “active central defender” it was a derby used for the scoring opportunities he lost. Hofmann alone could have easily decided the game, but he failed multiple times to Pentz or himself. Defensively, he remained largely solid, in preparation for the game he assumed the more passive role.
Matthew Barak 6
The key player in the rapid accumulation won all his innings, started 1-0 with good passes. However, he always seemed fragile and, especially when he starts to haggle, the Croatian is imperfect and a grateful pressing victim. With a little more security in the structure of the game and a more structured approach, it would have been even more valuable to Hütteldorfer.
Maximilian Ullmann 7
The green-whites’ side push-up was tremendously active, always playable and also strong. With his fourth-season assistant setting it up 1-0 through Schick, he only dived a bit towards the end of the match. Ullmann was definitely one of the best in a difficult derby for Rapid.
Srdjan Grahovac 4
The Bosnian played the usual acceptable and unemotional game, but neglected to massively secure a greater presence in the center. Grahovac’s logical task would have been to clear and accept as many duels as possible, but overall he was too passive, so Rapid was only able to win a few seconds balls in high places. The notable gains in the space didn’t materialize either, so he wasn’t quite there for the Rapids game.
Marcel Ritzmaier 5
The Styrian were a bit more active and concrete than Grahovac, but they still haven’t played enough. After all, Ritzmaier was able to gain a little more space and was more direct in his game. However, he remained passive and a bit cautious on the ball, so Rapid could not establish himself even more clearly.
Thorsten Schick 6
The Derby rookie started well and put Rapid in the lead. Even after that, Schick was one of the players who often sought frankness and his corner kicks always caused danger. However, it also lacked the ingenuity and really brilliant ideas that could have made the otherwise very simple Rapid game a bit more multifaceted.
Christoph Knasmüllner 3
Knasmüllner, the last to be fit, was completely taken out of the game by Austria and was practically unable to put the accent. The orientation to the man in the violets clearly bothered him and in situations where he could have shown his skills as a needle player, he was repeatedly duplicated. Difficult and ungrateful game for the veteran, who also did not have enough support from his sponsors.
Kelvin Arase 2
Against the ball, Kelvin Arase played well and at times focused well on his tasks. With the ball, however, his performance was again weak, so the left-back only played 14 passes in 69 minutes, six of which were successful. His interim castling with Schick and the move to the right wing did not improve him in terms of play. The young man couldn’t put on any offensive accent at all, but it wasn’t a typical “Arase game” on the entire stage.
Ercan kara 3
The most difficult evaluation of the night. A striker is measured by his goals, that’s why Kara fares badly in this ranking. However, it is necessary to mention positively how many scoring chances he had, which is not a matter of routine either. However, the fundamental thing is the lost opportunities and, therefore, the lost decision.
Taxiarchis Fountas 2
He came into play as a left winger and couldn’t find his way at all. He seemed restrained and not brave enough both in initial behavior and in play with the ball. He played just five passes in 24 minutes, but it was also misused and never got into the nerve zones where he feels most comfortable.

FK Austria Vienna
Patrick Pentz 10
Many superlatives could be used to describe the performance of the Austria goalkeeper, but they probably wouldn’t do him justice. The goalkeeper was the only reason the Violets did not suffer a severe defeat, but instead hijacked a point from Hütteldorf. The goalkeeper was able to distinguish himself with a total of eight (!) Saves, many of which were extremely demanding and can be classified in the category of “big saves”, which is what makes his performance so special. With that he put the crown to his already strong performances this season.
Georg Teigl 4
Basically it wasn’t a bad performance from the right back, who was often required on defense and actually had his opponent under control until he was replaced. Only his many fouls cloud his balance, with many little whistles there. On offense, he started off on good approaches and also picked up the majority of ball action with the Violets (60), but became increasingly error-prone as he continued, so his passing rate was ultimately extremely weak at 43 percent.
Johannes Handl 6
All in all, it was another great performance from the central defender, who was particularly convincing with his defensive work in many situations. His duel record was not only the best of his team (70 percent), but he also collected ten clarifying actions and a blocked shot on goal and a successful tackle. In a playful way, he showed what he can do, but was occasionally a little too cautious in this regard.
Erik Palmer-Brown 6
As usual, there is now a tendency to say that the Manchester City loan formed a strong central defense with his teammate and convinced with his attentive defensive performance. His duel record was strong at nearly 66 percent and he also collected six clarifying actions, five catches and two successful tackles. It was also positive that he acted with great confidence on the ball and his passing rate of 83 percent was the best of his team.
Markus Suttner 5
Overall, the substitute captain really did play a pretty decent game and was particularly able to convince the defense, where not only was his duel record positive, but he was also able to arrive with six clarifying actions, four ball safety devices, and three intercepted balls. The only negative was his behavior when he conceded a goal, where he placed himself a little too far from his opponent. Offensive, he also started well, he was quite creative and confident with the ball, although the error rate also increased with him.
Stephan Zwierschitz 3
He didn’t make any big mistakes and he didn’t attract serious losses to the ball, but his influence on the game was limited and he didn’t really attract attention. In particular, his dueling record was very weak and out of his eleven duels in this game, he won only two.
Niels Hahn 5
Considering that this was the 19-year-old’s starting lineup debut, his performance can be called very decent and he certainly did not decline in terms of quality. Among other things, his 82 percent pass rate was one of the best on his team, and he acted deliberately, even if he wasn’t as present and primarily concerned about safety. Against the ball, he was able to surprise positively, since not only was his history of duels on the ground positive, but he also registered more than decent values with five clarifying actions, four catches and two successful tackles, blocked shots and intercepted balls.
Manprit Sarkaria 3
A far below average performance from the creative player, who at times drew attention to himself with good deeds and also set up his team’s goal with a nice free kick, but came with a passing rate of only 46 per cent and had big problems, especially defensively against his rival.
Aleksandar Jukic 5
In this game he once again showed that he is right in the starting lineup and that his quality can help the team. His airplay cleanliness and clarity ensured his team possession of the ball, for which he also had a strong passing rate of 81 percent, with the most ball actions by offensive players (45). . He also got two good shots with which he could have scored a goal and also made a key pass. The midfielder was also present against the ball and not only won most of his duels on the ground, but also collected seven receptions, three successful tackles and two blocked shots each and punt actions.
Patrick Wimmer 5
He slid somewhat surprisingly in the starting XI and in the middle of the storm, where he drew attention with good and bad moments. In the good moments he was uncomfortable with his speed for the rivals, he gave two shots and two key passes and scored the goal of his team, in his bad moments he stood out for his poor decision making and lack of cleanliness in his actions.
Benedikt Pichler 4
He was very important to his team as a passing point at the top and to secure the balls and he did his job quite well, which is why he led most of his team’s duels (19) and won most of the dribbles (2). On the right wing, he couldn’t get along very well anymore and kept diving.
