Head coach Alex Pastoor will remain with SCR Altach beyond the current season. The 53-year-old Dutchman signs a new two-year contract until the end of the 2021/22 season, the SCRA announced Friday.
“All of us at the club are convinced that Alex Pastoor, with his professional way of working, is the right coach for SCRA,” said Managing Director Christoph Längle. “It is important to us to ensure continuity in the key position of the head coach, even in difficult times like the current one. We are very optimistic that football will be able to resume play in the foreseeable future. ” The extension of the contract with Alex Pastoor is therefore a great sign for the entire SCRA, says Längle.
Pastoor sees “a lot of potential”
Pastoor took over as head coach at Cashpoint-Arena in March 2019 and subsequently led the team to a sovereign relegation. After the basic round of the current season, SCRA ranked second in the qualifying group.
Pastoor confirmed that he is very comfortable with SCR Altach, both in sporting and private terms: “The good cooperation with sports director Christian Möckel and the trust placed in me by the club management are crucial for a successful future for me. I still see a lot of potential at SCR Altach and our young team, which we want to exploit in the years to come. “
The pastor’s signature is positive.
The sports director sees this as much as the coach, who remains committed: “Working together for the past six months has shown that our athletic opinions overlap in many areas. You can see a clearly positive development within the team, which bears Alex’s signature, ”said Möckel.
Pastoor is also well suited to SCRA. He is very happy with the extension of the expiring contract, so clarity was created from the start in the important position of the head coach, Möckel said.
