Since the beginning of the pandemic, SARS-CoV-2 has been detected 300,689 times in people in Austria. Since Friday, another 106 people in Austria have died from Covid-19. By far the majority of deaths were reported in Upper Austria at 34, in Carinthia there were 19. The southernmost federal state has by far the highest value on this with a seven-day incidence of 20.0 per 100,000 population for deaths by or with Crown Relationship in Austria. The lowest values were found in Vienna with 209.0 after 222.4 (7-day incidence) and 439.1 (14-day incidence).
The number of registered PCR tests was only 20,053, almost half of them, 9,231, came from Vienna. The positive rate, that is, the proportion of positive test results out of the total number of reported results, increased from 13.9 to just under 17.2 percent in 24 hours.
