Palfinger is back on track after the cyberattack.

About a week and a half after the cyberattack against the crane manufacturer Palfinger, which is listed in Salzburg, the company can now gradually increase production again. It has regained control of the affected IT systems, CEO Andreas Klauser said Wednesday. By the end of the week, all international IT systems will restart and work will gradually resume at all 35 locations. “Our goal is the fastest possible standardization of production processes,” emphasized Klauser. In the coming days and weeks, it’s important to make up for delays and quickly address backlog backlogs as well as ongoing inquiries, Klauser says. It is not allowed to give more details about the cyber attack, nor if money has been demanded, it is not meant. In the first quarter of 2021, the EBIT margin will be below the eight percent of the previous year due to the “one-time effect in relation to the cyber attack,” according to Klauser. For the full year, Palfinger’s boss expects annual sales of more than 1.7 billion euros and an EBIT margin of eight percent.
