This number represents a clear electoral victory, and Trump should admit it: “I respectfully suggest that you do the same now,” Biden said. “In this fight for the soul of America, democracy won,” Biden said. “The flame of democracy was lit in this nation long ago. After the electorate was elected, Mitch McConnell, Republican Majority Leader in the US Senate, congratulated the new president.
