ÖFB Cup: Salzburg also encounters an avalanche of rejections in the Cup

According to the ÖFB, a new date for the Salzburg match will soon be set. September 9 or 16 would be possible. The avalanche of rejections continued, since it is already the seventh of a total of 32 games that, for the same reason, cannot be played on the weekend as planned. Another Bundesliga club is hit with Cashpoint Altach, who is visiting Gurten.

The match, like the one between Weiz – Elektra, Wallern / ASV St. Marienkirchen – Reichenau-Innsbruck and Wiener Sport-Club – St. Jakob im Rosental, was canceled on Wednesday. On Thursday the postponements of the clash between Vorwärts Steyr and ASK / BSC Bruck / Leitha, as well as between FC Deutschkreutz and Wiener Neustädter SC, were announced.

Stöger’s return to the Austrian coaches bench

For the Vienna Bundesliga team, the season’s opening shot is scheduled to take place on Sunday. Austria and Rapid face supposedly simple tasks: “Veilchen” will play Lower Austrian regional league club SC Retz (11:15 am, live on ORF Sport +), while Hütteldorfer will host the regional league team TSV St. Johann (5.30pm, live) on ORF1).
