Ansteckungsrate in Deutschland steigt wieder leicht

Die Ansteckungsrate bei dem neuen Corona-Virus ist in Deutschland nach Angaben des Robert-Koch-Instituts (RKI) erstmals seit zwei Tagen wieder angestiegen – allerdings auf niedrigem Niveau. Die sogenannte Reproduktionsrate (R) werde auf 0,8 geschätzt, hieß es am Samstag im aktuellen Lagebericht des RKI. An den beiden vergangenen Tagen hatte sie bei 0.7 gelegen.

Allerdings geht die Zahl der Neuerkrankungen damit dennoch weiter leicht zurück. RKI-Chef Lothar Wieler hatte wiederholt erklärt, Ziel sei es, die Rate möglichst auf unter 1,0 zu drücken. Deutschlands Kanzlerin Angela Merkel hatte betont, die Marke sei auch mit Blick auf Lockerungen der Corona-Auflagen ein wichtiges Kriterium.

Mehr als 19,000 Corona-Todesopfer in Frankreich

In Frankreich sind inzwischen mehr als 19,000 Menschen nach einer Infektion mit dem neuartigen Coronavirus gestorben. Die Zahl der Corona-Toten in Krankenhäusern und Pflegeheimen habe sich binnen 24 Stunden um 642 Opfer auf 19,323 erhöht, teilten die französischen Gesundheitsbehörden am Freitag mit.

Die Zahl der Krankenhauspatienten sank unterdessen weiter. 30.639 Infizierte wurden den Angaben zufolge am Samstag in den Kliniken behandelt, das waren 551 weniger als am Vortag. Gut 5,800 von ihnen befanden sich auf der Intensivstation; am Freitag waren es noch 194 Patienten mehr gewesen.
