Changing the traffic light from Corona to orange, as was done in Vienna, Innsbruck and five other districts, would have serious effects on school operations. From Orange onwards, the following applies to higher levels: “Shift to distance education.” According to applicable guidelines, only smaller groups can “continue to learn face-to-face.” School ski courses and other events may no longer run at the orange warning level.
But it shouldn’t come to that. As the SN discovered, the crown traffic light remains yellow for schools in orange districts. The usual hygiene rules apply and the obligation to wear the mask outside the classrooms. Education Minister Heinz Faßmann will announce more details at a press conference at 1 pm
