Zagreb – A few days ago the earth shook in Croatia. However, the slalom races of the Ski World Cup for men and women are held. One tenth of the prize money goes to victims of the natural disaster. In addition, the same contribution will be donated by the organizing committee. In this way, 50,000 euros will be raised to help those affected, says the head of OK, Vedran Pavlek.

The earthquake in the heart of Croatia left seven dead; more than 1,000 structures were completely destroyed. At least the same number of houses were seriously damaged. Fortunately, there was only minor damage in Zagreb / ​​Agram; however, its proportions amount to a disaster for the region. It’s bad, and that’s why everyone on the site is grateful for any help.

The preparations for the races at Bärenberg are in full swing. The route was already prepared in early December 2020. Even if no fans can come and frolic in the finish area because of the crown, everyone is satisfied that racing is allowed and that the television broadcast is guaranteed. Even if you can’t get money out of tickets, you can expect fewer expenses. This year the construction and dismantling of additional tents and stands will be neglected.
