After 234 new infections on Monday, Vorarlberg already set a new negative record on Tuesday.

258 new cases of corona were registered in 24 hours. Currently, the number of infected people is 1,708. In addition, another person died from a corona infection, bringing the death toll to 31. In the same period, 34 people were reported to have recovered.

Of the new infections, 170 are still being clarified regarding the origin of the infection. Vorarlberg claims another death in connection with the virus.

Since the pandemic began in March, 4,037 people from Vorarlberg have tested positive for the coronavirus, 2,298 of whom are considered recovered. Currently, 69 people are hospitalized in Vorarlberg, eleven of them depend on intensive care.

Districts

Most of the active cases are currently in the Bregenz district (535). They are followed by Feldkirch (496), Dornbirn (461) and Bludenz (202).

Municipalities

Currently there are active corona cases in 78 of the 96 communities in Vorarlberg. Most of them in Dornbirn (233), Lustenau (156), Feldkirch (154) and Bregenz (139).

7-day incidence

The seven-day incidence, which indicates how many out of 100,000 people tested positive in the past seven days, is 273 for Vorarlberg. The seven-day incidence across Austria is 214 (as of Tuesday at 2pm).

Tirol has the highest incidence in 7 days in a comparison of the federal states with 300. Vorarlberg follows, Salzburg (291) is third.

This number is especially important with regard to travel advisories. An incidence of 50 is a guideline here.

The seven-day incidence is currently more than 200 in all districts of Vorarlberg. At 465, the Dornbirn district currently has the second highest value of all Austrian districts.
