If the number of people is greater, the event must be reported to the health authorities. “That applies everywhere. It affects both the restaurant and the yoga class,” Kurz said. The only exceptions are professional events and funerals.

Crown measures hardened again

Kurz called the situation in Europe extremely challenging.

Regarding the situation in Austria, the Chancellor said: “If the trend continues, we will have 6,000 new infections per day in December.” The next few months would be a “red-white-red show of force.”

“The better we are together, the better everyone participates, the better we will overcome the situation,” Kurz emphasized.

Fewer spectators are allowed in the stadiums

The federal government has reacted to the growing number of corona cases with tougher events: professional events will be even more restricted from Friday, including the soccer Bundesliga or the ice hockey league, but also the Vienna Stadthallen tennis tournament. .
