The Ministry of Health and the Interior also reported more than 2,000 new infections with the corona virus in Austria on Friday. Specifically, there are 2,085. In Salzburg, 139 positive tests were reported in the last 24 hours.

There are currently 3,073 people hospitalized for a disease with Covid-19, of which 495 require treatment in the intensive care unit. 297,424 people have recovered from a corona infection. On the other hand, 5,127 died, 145 of them in the last 24 hours (at 9:30 a.m.). This means that the number of deaths has risen to more than 5,000 for the first time. In total, there have been 334,913 positive test results in Austria so far.

Seven-day incidence decreased slightly

The seven-day incidence dropped slightly from 215 to 206. This means that in one week, an average of 206 people per 100,000 inhabitants were infected with corona.
