New drop in corona numbers in Vorarlberg – Coronavirus –

The Vorarlberg state Corona dashboard shows 17 new infections with 121 recoveries as of Tuesday lunchtime. This reduces the number of active corona cases in Vorarlberg from 105 to 1,154 cases.

Another person died with or as a result of a coronavirus disease. The death toll in Vorarlberg rose to 201.

The positive trend also continues in the municipalities. 17 municipalities in Vorarlberg are now “crown free”.

On Monday, 8 people with COVID-19 were admitted to hospitals.

A total of 82 patients with COVID-19 are treated at the hospital. 366 of the 432 normal beds available for treating COVID-19 patients are still available.

In addition, 200 regular beds have been prepared for COVID-19 patients at the Dornbirn emergency care center.

12 people could be discharged from the hospital.

There are a total of 64 beds available for intensive medical treatment of patients. Currently, 16 COVID-19 patients need to be treated in the intensive care unit. In addition, 18 non-Covid patients receive intensive care. Currently there are still 30 intensive care beds available for all patient groups.

No one died yesterday in connection with the virus in the Vorarlberg hospitals.

58 employees tested positive for corona, 16 are also in quarantine.

According to the crown board of the Agency for Health and Food Safety (AGES), Vorarlberg had an incidence of seven days per 100,000 inhabitants on Monday with a slightly downward trend in the middle of the Austrian federal states. With 181 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the last seven days, Vorarlberg was behind Salzburg (242), Carinthia (236) and Upper Austria (185).

The Austrian average of the seven-day incidence was 165 on Monday.

With seven-day incidents between 150 and 200, the four districts of Vorarlberg are currently roughly in the middle of the countryside compared to the other 90 Austrian districts.
