New draft: Close from Tuesday, stricter rules for nursing homes

The “press” has a new draft regulation before. The museums will be closed after all, at the moment, a visit to a nursing home is only allowed every other day.

This afternoon the federal government wants to announce new measures to combat the coronavirus. A first version of the regulation was released on Friday. Now the “press” has a revised and more updated version. It anticipates some changes, but the main measures remain.

What is new is that a date is given for the blockade: the regulation will take effect on Tuesday at midnight. The main committee of parliament will likely give its approval on Sunday.

1. Exit restrictions

Departure restrictions between 8 pm and 6 am remain in effect. And there are still exceptions to these restrictions: you can leave the apartment to avoid “immediate danger to life, limbs and property”. The same applies to caring for people in need of support and the fulfillment of family duties. The basic necessities of daily life can also be covered. Y: You can go out at night to relax physically and mentally. Originally, the use of public transportation was also prohibited during exit restrictions. That has been removed in the new version.

What is also new is that the term “private living room” is no longer used, but “your own private living room”. So here is a clarification.

2. Leisure facilities

And there is more tightening: the entrance to the leisure facilities is not allowed, so they remain closed. And now there are fewer exceptions. Under the current draft regulations, museums, animal parks and zoos should also remain closed. This was not originally planned. The parks apparently remain open.

3. Residences and nursing homes

Visits to nursing homes and for the elderly should continue to be possible, which was already provided for in the first regulation. However, in the first draft, visitors must either take an antigen test at the entrance or wear an FFP2 mask. This passage has been hardened: Visitors must now submit a negative antigen test that is no older than 24 hours. Alternative: Wear a Corona Sars-CoV-2 Pandemic Respiratory Protection (CPA) Mask or equivalent or higher standard mask. In addition, initially one visitor per resident per day is no longer allowed, but only every other day. And: “In general, a maximum of two different people can be admitted for each resident between November 3, 2020 and November 17, 2020.” As of November 18, one visitor per day can be admitted for each resident there are exceptions, for example, for palliative support and hospice care.

For employees, on the other hand, the hurdles are reduced: In reality, they should have presented two negative test results per week in order to enter the houses. Now only one test per week is necessary.
