Starting today, the increase in crown measures will be applied again throughout Austria. In retail and at events, a mask is again mandatory. The waiters are also back with the masked guests.
After the latest increase in the number of corona infections in Austria, nationwide measures will take effect again on Monday. In summary:
– Retailer: obligation of customers to use oral and nasal protection
– Commerce: Protection of the mouth and nose is mandatory for personnel
(Unless there is a partition, for example by a plexiglass wall)
– Mouth and nose protection must be worn at events.
– Limit the number of visitors to events.

-Gastronomy: Waiters must use mouth and nose protection
-Schools: outside the classroom, that is, in the corridor, etc., it is mandatory to protect your mouth and nose
The government formulated some subtleties: The obligation to use oral and nasal protection now applies again in all forms of contact with the client, in the restaurant sector, during official visits, exhibitions and libraries, in sports studios or swimming pools ( in bathrooms and in the sport itself, no mask requirement applies). At indoor cultural events and sporting events, the mask can only be removed on the spot. If there are no fixed seats, a mask must be worn at all times.
The number of visitors to events is also limited: Without fixed seats, a maximum of 50 guests is allowed inside, with fixed seats there are 1500. Outside, the maximum number of 100 people without seats, with fixed seats applies 3000 visitors are allowed. Gastronomy is still allowed in events, in conditions like in bars. The following applies here: It is not allowed to consume while standing, that is, in bars, when entering and leaving the restaurant you must wear a mask, not on the seat itself. Personnel must wear mouth and nose protection at all times. This also applies to store personnel, unless it is separated by a Plexiglas wall.
