24 hour numbers
In Vorarlberg, only 75 new infections were recorded on Monday. That was the lowest increase since October 24. Because the 75 new infections were compared to the 197 recoveries, the number of people actively infected with the coronavirus decreased to 2,014 cases. Five more people died from the corona virus, bringing the death toll to 160.

In the Vorarlberg districts, Feldkirch has the highest number of actively positive cases (611). They are followed by Bregenz (601), Dornbirn (425) and Bludenz (350).

At midnight on Monday, there were twelve municipalities in Vorarlberg with more than 50 actively infected. In three municipalities, the number of cases exceeded 100, namely in the cities of Dornbirn (254), Feldkirch (196) and Bregenz (162). 62.1 percent of all active coronavirus infections in Vorarlberg were distributed among these twelve communities. Five of the 96 municipalities in Vorarlberg were free of the corona virus.
Situation in hospitals
On Monday, 9 people with COVID-19 were admitted to hospitals.
A total of 123 COVID-19 patients are treated as inpatients. 332 of the 432 normal beds available for the treatment of COVID-19 patients are still available, Vorarlberger Krankenhaus-Betriebsges.mbH announced.
In addition, 200 regular beds have been prepared for COVID-19 patients at the Dornbirn emergency care center.
11 people could be discharged from the hospital.
There are a total of 79 beds available for intensive medical treatment of patients. Currently 23 patients with COVID-19 need treatment in the intensive care unit.
In addition, 19 non-Covid patients receive intensive care. Currently, 37 intensive care beds are still available for all patient groups.
Four people died yesterday in connection with the virus in hospitals in Vorarlberg.
83 employees have tested positive for corona, 17 are also in quarantine.
The 7-day incidence increased slightly
According to the crown board of the Agency for Health and Food Safety (AGES), the incidence of seven days per 100,000 inhabitants in Vorarlberg increased slightly on Monday.
However, with 281 new infections per 100,000 residents in the past seven days, the state was better than Salzburg, Carinthia and Tyrol.
Austria’s average on Monday was 251.
The four districts of Vorarlberg currently have a 7-day incidence between 240 and 330 and are therefore roughly in the Austrian midfield.
Austria figures after Monday’s purchases
2,377 new infections and 105 deaths were reported on the holiday today. As of Tuesday at 09:30 am, 4,002 people across Austria had died from the consequences of the corona virus and 262,314 had recovered. So far there have been 308,070 positive results in Austria. Currently 3,917 people are in hospital treatment due to the coronavirus and 609 of them are in intensive care units.
