A woman was reportedly shot in the head in a Vienna apartment. Police are investigating an alleged murder.
Relatives of the victim made the gruesome discovery on Sunday around 5:30 pm: They found the 29-year-old dead in her apartment in Penzing. According to the Vienna State Police Directorate, the boy had a “gunshot wound to the head area”. The State Criminal Police Office is now investigating a suspected violent crime.
Investigators were unable to find a firearm at the crime scene. In the course of surveys, officials found that the brother (51, Austrian) of the woman’s ex-partner legally possessed two firearms.

“Investigators immediately went to the suspect’s apartment in Vienna-Neubau and found this also lifeless,” police continued. There are many indications of suicide with a pistol.
