In France, an additional 389 people died within 24 hours of infection with the new coronavirus. The total number of deaths in the crown is now 22,245, French health authorities in Paris said. In Germany, the number of crown kills reached 5,454 on Friday night.

In France, the number of Covid 19 patients in hospital intensive care units has further decreased. According to authorities, 4,870 people were still receiving intensive medical treatment on Friday, 183 fewer than the day before. For the first time since March 29, the number fell below the 5,000 mark. The total number of corona patients treated in hospitals continues to decline.

However, it is too early to give the go-ahead, said Director General of Health Jérôme Salomon. France is still struggling with a “massive and severe epidemic” and must not budge on its vigilance. There are now more than 40,000 tests available per day. Due to the pandemic, there is also a strict curfew until May 11.

Along with the United States, Italy and Spain, France is one of the countries with the most crown deaths. In the United States, the death toll on Friday exceeded 50,000.
