1,121 new infections with the coronavirus were reported in Austria within 24 hours on Monday (as of Monday, 9.30am). 799 people must be cared for in the hospital, 145 of them in the intensive care unit. 135 new corona cases were reported in Salzburg.
Across Austria, 799 Covid 19 patients, 57 more than the day before, have been treated in hospital. 145 patients needed intensive medical care, ten more than on Sunday. As always, on weekends, significantly fewer test results were assessed and entered into the epidemiological registry (EMS) – for example, in Carinthia and Burgenland there were fewer than 300.

So far there have been 65,927 positive results in Austria. As of today, 904 people in Austria have died as a result of the coronavirus and 50,359 have recovered.
