Two other players of Salzburg’s opponent Maccabi Tel Aviv have tested positive for the corona virus. Consequently, the two forwards Eduardo Guerrero (20) of Panama and Dor Turgeman (16) cannot participate in the first leg of the play-off of the Champions League tonight (9:00 p.m. on the LIVE and DAZN ticker ). Another member of the supervisory staff is also affected.
Related Israeli media reports refer to an official announcement from the club. Consequently, the latest cases are the result of tests carried out on Monday.
The positive tests of Dor Peretz, Avi Rikan, Daniel Peretz, Nick Blackman, Enric Saborit, Yonatan Cohen and Dan Glazer were already known in the days leading up to the game, and seven positive members of the squad were also mentioned.
Maccabi coach Georgios Donis can now count on 17 players. According to UEFA rules, 13 outfield players plus two goalkeepers must be healthy to play a match. Additionally, an unlimited number of young players can be nominated on a B list.
