When asked why she was only telling it now, Dorris said she had considered going public in 2016. Several women reported being sexually abused by Trump that year. But Dorris feared that her testimony could harm her family. Now her daughter is 13 years old and she wants to be a role model: “I want my children to know that they don’t have to let anyone do anything to them that they don’t want to.”
