The current situation in Austria is only one stage of success, but hygiene measures still need to be strictly observed.
Therefore, Szekeres is taking recommendations from a committee of medical experts, which includes section heads and presidents of medical associations, the President of the Supreme Medical Council and the Rector of MedUni Vienna, Markus Müller and Josef Penninger, a leading scientist Austrian life.
The success of the stage should not be denied
Only through the high level of discipline in the population has it been possible to reduce the number of people who are seriously infected. This success should not be compromised by carelessness and the absence of distance rules and protection against infection.
Szekeres is concerned about the images that were partially seen on Saturday, namely long lines in front of stores: “It is understandable that people are now returning to stores after the long phase of isolation.” However, each individual must decide for himself whether each purchase is really necessary in the first days. And under no circumstances should the necessary precautionary measures be forgotten in the hectic pace of shopping.
“We have all accomplished a lot in the past few weeks and we are in an excellent international position. However, due to carelessness and lack of discipline, we should not undo this success on stages,” Szekeres tells everyone.
